Interior Paint Strip December 07

I decided to strip the footwell floorboards to bare metal as they were the only area with serious rust. I ended up stripping the entire interior, go figure.

The floorboards have already been stripped by now,
couldn't find any pictures of that. This is work being
done on the driver's side foot well in the area of the
accelerator petal.

The forward part of the passenger side foot well done
except for sanding. It was really, really tedious and difficult
work in these areas.

Passenger side foot well again, this time showing the
firewall and part of the plenum. You can see the the red
primer coat here as well as the black seam sealer which
was used quite liberally through out the entire car. I have
admit the seems to have worked very well, it just looks
really bad.

You can see part of the floorboard here as well as the
foot well.

The firewall area just under the plenum has been stripped
here.

Yup, I even stripped underside of the top of each foot
well.

The area behind the seats, the differential bridge and
drive shaft tunnel everything was stripped using Jasco
chemical stripper and a lot of elbow grease. I evenually
had to buy a one gallon can!

Another shot of the same area, again very little rust.

A close up the diff area, note the boot just visible here,
I eventually got in there too.

A close up of the behind the seat area.

This is about a month later, stripping is complete!

The rear area, complete.

A closer shot of the foot wells.

And the drive shaft tunnel.

The floor boards again, from the other side.

And the drive shaft tunnel from the other side.
